Food & Nutrition Coaching

We often become distracted by what life throws at us which leads to neglect our own well-being. Our days can be fast paced but seldom do we slow down to think about the importance of maintaining your well being. Stress is commonplace in the modern world, simply driving to work in gridlock traffic can make you a basket case.

Fortunately, you can make better choices and develop good habits to make wellness a part of your every day routine…

Make a Decision and Stick to it

Make the decision to live a healthy lifestyle. This is a step that many people avoid, and they end up giving up and reverting back to their original way of everyday living. Well, wellness is a decision (As simplistic as it seems) and it’s a necessary one for all of us.

How Eating Healthy Now Affects Your Body in the Future

Think of your health as the amount of money in your bank account. Just as you’d like to have more money and keep growing, it’s also wise to have more health in your body and keep that growing as well.

And while maintaining a balanced diet may not always be convenient or cheap, it’ll definitely pay off both in the short and long- term health plan you intend to have for your body.

If you have high cholesterol, high blood pressure/sugar, diabetes etc. then you can benefit from a whole food plant based diet.

The nutritional choices we make are crucial to physical wellness. Feeding our body live foods (Vegetables, fruits, legumes, grains etc.) will make us feel good and give us energy for the days ahead.

Having Trouble Finding a Nutritious Balance?

You’re Not Alone. And I’m Here to Help!

Habits are created by doing something over and over again until it becomes ingrained within us. It’s like we’ve rewired our brain to now automatically make certain choices without thinking.

How I can Help

If you’re looking for a way to stay healthy, decrease the risk of suffering from some serious diseases, and slow down the process of ageing, then you should eat more whole foods. Whole foods are the foods closest to their natural state, which means that they contain much more nutrients than processed foods. Of course, it’s incredibly hard to make your diet consist of whole foods only, but you should strive to make them the majority of the food you consume.

Food Coaching

Consider what you are eating every day and that diet is your best chance for living a longer and healthier life.

Snacks

Think about how health is important and if you truly need all the processed snacks and sweets that you buy on a regular basis. It’s a much better idea to simply visit your local farmers’ market and buy the nutrient-packed whole foods.

Vitamins & Supplements

Juice Plus+ Orchard and Garden Blends provide added whole food based nutrition from 20 different fruits, vegetables, and grains in convenient capsule form.

Weight Loss

If you want to keep your weight under control, but don’t feel like going on some extreme diet, then you’ll be pleased to hear that eating whole foods promotes healthy weight management, especially if you choose to eat mostly whole vegetables and fruits. These foods contain very little calories, so you won’t have to worry about counting them.

Finding a Balance Can Be Hard, but Eating Healthy Doesn’t Have To Be

There is a simple explanation why whole foods will provide you with more energy. When you eat something, your body has to break down that food. However, processed foods are difficult to break down, so a lot of the energy they have to offer will actually go into the processing of breaking it down. On the other hand, it’s not a challenge for your body to break down whole foods, so you will be left with a lot of unused energy.

  • Nutrients in food strengthen immunity to fight off colds and flu
  • Eating right supports focus, concentration, and memory power

All of these things and the many more benefits that solid nutrition offers you, ensure your overall well-being on a day-to-day basis, so you can thrive!

This is a very real benefit, that can be enjoyed in the here and the now without having to wait for the ‘in case” of heart disease. As a certified Nutritionist and Raw Food Chef it has become my mission to help other experience the best health of their life.

My Approach

Make wellness a daily habit. All you have to do is make a decision to live every day in a state of wellness. If you follow the steps mentioned previously, at a very minimum, you’ll have a good start in creating healthy every day habits.

Without good habits, we’ll never accomplish anything. Wellness is the determining factor in our ability to be productive and effective in every day life.

My Process

Before you look to cut things from your diet, work on adding healthy choices to your meals and snacks. Take a proactive positive approach as you make changes to what you eat. Drink a non-carbonated beverage instead of a pop or soda; you can choose unsweetened herbal tea which still provides flavor, lemon water or plain water. Select brown rice instead of white rice with your meals. Just as with exercise, small changes add up to a complete transition to a more healthful lifestyle.

Unique Framework

Keys to Success:

  • Choose one or two small changes to incorporate into your diet each month.
  • Eating healthy needs to be enjoyable for you to make it a part of your lifestyle. Try foods and a variety of ways to prepare them and enjoy the ones you like.
  • Make sure to keep your daily menu varied so you don’t get bored with your food choices and go off track.

Willpower Is Never The Final Answer To Permanent Weight Loss

Many so called health experts chalk up weight loss success to willpower. Not only is this a false belief, but also a way to sabotage yourself. The fact is most people are not able to maintain their willpower for an extended period of time, simply because of the chemistry of the brain.

Willpower is a false prophet; one forged in our minds to “impress” others, even though at the core of it all we know it’s just a pile of lies.

Wondering why willpower is not the definitive factor that will determine your weight loss?
